Like A Duck To Water

It was a lucky coincidence that Chris's birthday fell on my day off, so I asked him what he wanted to do. He decided he wanted to go back to this state park we once went to that has this really awesome waterfall. Well, it's more like several waterfalls since the rocks keep dipping down as you progress downwards.

The weather was perfect for spending a day surrounded by water. The falls were nice and cool on my feet! I ended up slipping and falling into the water hip-deep, so the water was actually nice and cool on my entire bottom half. At least it was super hot out, so it wasn't that bad being half wet. Everything dried pretty quickly! I've always loved water. When I was little it was so hard to get me out of the pool!

I love waterfalls because everything around it always seems so fresh. The air smells cleaner and the sound of the falls is really soothing. It's like being in a giant, cold shower, I guess. That sounds kind of uncomfortable, but you get what I mean. It's so relaxing to just sit on a rock in the middle of the water, dunk your feet in, and bask in the sunlight.

I absolutely adore this shirt. I got it in the winter and couldn't wait until it was warm enough to wear it. I actually got to wear it earlier than expected since I packed it for my trip to Florida in March. I'm a huge Disney fan and although Donald Duck was never really one of my favorite characters, he does make me laugh and I love his outfit. It's got a nautical vibe to it, and who can resist that? (I rarely can.)

[Shirt: Forever 21
Shorts: Old Navy
Shoes: Rialto
Purse: H&M]

These shorts have grown on me. At first I was iffy about them, but they're alright in my book. Old Navy is very hit or miss for me. It's usually more miss than hit, but I got these there for about $23 and they are comfy. The only complaint I have is that I wish the waist was a tiny bit higher.

It was a really nice day! We ended up getting burritos after and then having some cake and other treats that I baked later on. I'll have some posts on the things I baked soon!
