Giraffe Love

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned my love of giraffes before. They're one of my favorite animals. I love how graceful and majestic they are, and how unique they look with their long necks and kind faces. I also love the pattern on their coat! I think they are such adorable and beautiful creatures. When going to a zoo, I always check to see if they have giraffes beforehand. I was even lucky enough to have had the chance to feed a giraffe not only once, but twice!

Naturally, when I saw this blouse in the Tommy Hilfiger outlet store in Florida, I had to have it. So much so that when they didn't have my size in the store we were in, my parents and I drove to another store about 20 minutes away to get it. I'm usually not really a fan of Tommy Hilfiger, but this was a definite exception. I can never find giraffe print clothing. And I don't mean the spots, I mean actual giraffes like this shirt. I constantly see owls, elephants, and cats everywhere, but never giraffes. Sigh...

There's this resort type place in Africa called Giraffe Manor where giraffes just hang out on the grounds and interact with people. I would love to go there someday. I wish I could have one as a pet! lol.

I recently took a trip to DSW and bought myself three pairs of shoes. They were all on clearance, I had just recently got my tax return, and I never really treat myself to new shoes, so I decided it was time. I originally had about seven pairs picked out, but I (reluctantly) narrowed it down to three. These heels were one of the pairs that made the cut. They are so comfy.  They're Clarks, so of course they're going to be. I've been needing brown heels too, so that sealed the deal for these.

Life has been pretty low key, lately. I've been hanging out at local coffee shops, for the most part and then on my days off I try to get some photoshoots done. I have officially gone a year without fast food, so I will be celebrating by having Taco Bell tomorrow. :) I'm not going to start having it more often or anything. Not that I really ate it that often before I stopped altogether. I just decided to avoid it in an effort to eat healthier, because let's face it...who doesn't feel like death after consuming a fast food meal? I think I'll just make it a once or twice a year thing to indulge in it. Once you stop eating it, it's like you become pretty indifferent to it. I can't say I really miss it because there are healthier alternatives that actually taste better. For instance, one of my favorites...homemade crunchwraps with ground turkey! :)
