They had skulls of different dinosaurs like the triceratops and skeletons of raptors, but my favorite thing was the giant T-rex head. It's just so massive. I would probably cry on the spot if I was ever faced with a T-rex. They would be so terrifying to be in the presence of. Raptors are scary, too. My favorite scene from Jurassic Park is the kitchen scene with the kids. When I was little it made me so nervous! I still like to watch it with all the lights off sometimes.
There were some human skeleton stuff and then there was Native American exhibits and exhibits about the animals in the Ice Age. There were also exhibits on minerals, crystals, metals, etc. and on space. I liked looking at the pretty crystals they had on display. There was also a room with snakes in it, which I was not having any part of. Nope.
One of my favorite parts of museums, aquariums, etc. is the gift shop. I don't care if that makes me touristy or lame. It's also the best at theme parks when every ride has a gift shop at the end. It's because they always have things for sale that you can't really find anywhere else. Where else are you going to go to find a bunch of dinosaur stuff, other than the Internet? And when you go to Universal Studios, they have a gift shop for just Jurassic Park stuff. It's pretty much a store full of awesome. You can never go wrong with that and you're not going to find a store dedicated to awesome movies anywhere else. I can't wait to go back!
Wow! This place looks amazing.. ♥ I love museums, I think they're so inspiring. :)
ReplyDeleteI love museums so much. This post is making me wish I could go to one soon. The dinosaurs are always the best! I remember seeing Jurassic Park in the theatre...that was so long ago!
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, you look adorable here. I love your dress! It's such a perfect fall color.
Ah this is so cool! I was at the national museum of Scotland a few weeks ago but they only had a trex. The crystals are so pretty!

Nope...wasn't in London! It's in the US in Connecticut! :)
DeleteVelociraptors are definitely the worst! I mean, were. Dinosaurs have been one of the most fascinating subjects ever since. I was a kid when I watched JP but it's still an all-time favourite. I wish I could actually SEE a T-Rex and that's impossible but well, we never know... That sea beast squid creeped the fuck out of me though. Kraken, much?
ReplyDeleteLovely look! The colours are so warm and perfect for Autumn. Your shoes are uber adorable too!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit for it.

This dress! I love it on you - always. It goes well with the dinos - the right color palette :D I haven't been to a museum with dinos in ages. I always liked gift shops too - but thinking of it, I haven't gone in them because it seems everyone else does too - they are SO crowded. Kind of why I love that they are just everywhere at Disney - it's less crowded that way.
