Just My Type

I got this dress for Christmas and I couldn't wait to wear it. I wasn't sure what colors I wanted to style it with, but then I decided on basic primary colors. I love styling primary colors together. I thought that a day at the used bookstore was a perfect time to wear this since it has such cute lettering on it. It even has little apples on it too! I really love prints with letters since I love writing, typewriters, fonts, books, etc. I was really excited to see this one on Bonne Chance Collections' website. They have so many cute dresses with all kinds of fun prints that it's so hard to decide what to get!

I got a pretty good haul at the bookstore. I got four books, including one by Daniel Wallace. He is the author who wrote Big Fish, which I wanted to get but they didn't have it. Another book I got was a guide to used bookstores in New England, so that will be pretty helpful and handy in the future. I love exploring anywhere that has books and it should make for some good day trips and adventures. I have a decent collection of books, now. I would love to have my own little library someday in my house, so I'm happy that I have such a nice little collection of them.

So it probably comes to no surprise, but I don't care about the Super Bowl. The only thing that's cool about it is the good food people tend to make for it, but even that isn't worth it if I have to sit there and watch a football game for hours. No thank you. I also don't care about Groundhog Day and think it's kinda a dumb holiday. I'm pretty sure the groundhog is always going to see his shadow no matter what, and winter will always last as long as it's supposed to last. I can't remember the last time spring was supposed to come early. It never does, so just leave Punxsutawney Phil alone. It's just so silly.

Instead of watching the Super Bowl, I went to Providence with my cousin and our boyfriends. More people were supposed to go, but they ended up bailing. We spent the day shopping at the huge mall there and I ended up getting a few things. We also ate at Fire & Ice. I had never been there, but it's pretty intense. There is a huge selection of meats and ingredients and you actually grab all of the ingredients that you want to make something with and then you hand it to a chef who cooks it in front of you, sort of like hibachi, except they don't cook in front of where you eat. All the food is laid out buffet style and then the grill is in the middle of it all. It's neat! And it's all you can eat, so needless to say, I came home with a very big food baby.

After that meal, I think I need to go back to eating more healthy and avoiding all the junk food and oversized portions. It doesn't make me feel good, and it's not good for my body and health. I really like eating healthy, but once you stop sticking to it, it tends to be hard to jump back on the wagon. But now is the time to start again!

  1. That outfit is just too adorable! I don't think I tend to wear true primary colors much, but they make for a really cute look all mixed together!

  3. Oh my gosh! That dress! Completely swoon-worthy. It might be my favorite dress I've seen in a while. I always love your outfits. And I agree, no to the superbowl and no to groundhog day! Your plans on Sunday sound like fun, instead of watching the game I went out with my friends to an indian place in west philly for dinner and it was so good! also, i never heard of that brand that your dress is, there are so many cute dresses on that site! do the sizes run true to size?

PS: I also love that you shot these in a book store, one of my favorite places! I could spend hours in book stores.

  6. I'm in love with that dress! It's absolutely adorable and you couldn't have chosen a better place to shoot for this post.

On another note, I laughed at your food baby comment. This is something I say all of the time, so naturally, when I saw a reference to this phenomenon on Pinterest, it made my life.

  7. Haha I don't care about the Superbowl either. I like seeing some of the commercials and getting together with friends if something's going on. That's about it.
But anyway, I love your letter print dress! It's so cute! I'm loving the primary color scheme going on in this outfit too.
