I've had this big heart lollipop for an embarrassingly long time. I'm talking over a year, maybe two. But it's a lollipop, so it's not like it's going to go bad, right? I decided to save it for a Valentine's shoot since it's perfect for it! By the way, yes I did eat some of it, and it was perfectly fine! I still have most of it left. It takes forever to eat these big lollipops! I remember when I was little, I used to always get one of these big lollipops from Disney World and it would take me the whole week we stayed in Florida to eat it, and I still wouldn't finish it by the time we went home. They're so good, though!

I got these shoes to wear with my Christmas outfit, which I still need to take pictures of and share. I had been looking for a pair of gold heels that weren't 5 inches tall so that I could actually walk in them. These are the perfect height and the perfect shape, too! I really only like rounded toes for my shoes. I'm not a fan of the overly pointy-toed shoes. These were perfect for Christmas since they are glittery, and I felt that they were perfect for Valentine's Day too. It's not every day that you get to wear some sparkly gold heels!

We had a little visitor come up to us during our shoot. I love golden retrievers and I really want one someday when I have a house. I think they are great dogs, and so pretty! This little guy was so sweet and just wanted pets, and I was more than happy to give him some. :)

As for my Valentine's Day plans, Chris and I don't have anything special planned for today. We both have to work during the day. We have the night off so we will probably exchange presents and just watch a movie or something. But Saturday we are going to spend the day together and adventure somewhere fun. It's our favorite thing to do, to go somewhere new and explore, so it's a great choice for a Valentine's date for us! Unfortunately, I feel like this last snowstorm may have ruined our ability to actually walk around anywhere outdoors and we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow, so we might have to think of a plan B or reschedule. Oh winter, how I hate you.

So pretty, my friend! Love the pink and red together, and those all-day suckers are so fun! They're much better to look at than to eat, in my experience, but it's perfect for this! I hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day :)

I haven't eaten a giant lolly in so long. I just remember them being hard and really quite sickly in the end. But they always look amazing! and such a great prop idea too.
ReplyDeleteI've never been a big fan of pinks but I really like the classic shape of your dress. It's a favourite shape of mine.
The warm weather couldn't come fast enough!

My boyfriend and I almost had to reschedule Valentine's day due to the ice storm that blew through here this week. Luckily the ice melted enough for me to drive yesterday!
ReplyDeleteAlso those sparkly heels are wonderful. I don't know if a person can have too many sparkly heels in their life. I have a pair and I love them. They're perfect for basically every holiday! I really like how yours look with these pretty shades of pink.

This is such a lovely valentine's day look! I like the dress with the sweater, but those shoes are what make this outfit complete.
