I wanted her to do my makeup with all the colors of autumn and sort of make me look like an autumn leaf. I wanted it to be intense, yet not too over the top. I think she did an amazing job, and I was extremely happy with the results. I especially loved the lips and how she dabbed some gold eye shadow on top of the lipstick for a different look.

We decided it'd be perfect to do the shoot in an apple orchard, and I'm so happy we did. I love how the makeup and outfit looked against the colors of the setting. I'm also glad that it was overcast so that we had even lighting and no weird shadows. Sometimes sun is great for photos, but I usually prefer an overcast sky.

I didn't pick too many apples. I was going to use them to make apple crisp, but since I am going to be picking more at a different orchard this weekend, I've just been slowly snacking on them. My favorite type of apple is Gala, but I also like McIntosh because it's just so nostalgic and classic to me. Whenever we went on field trips to the orchard at school when I was little, we'd pick McIntosh. I love Golden Delicious and Fuji apples too. I like the sweeter varieties. The worst one is Red Delicious because they're just so bland and gross. NEVER PICK THEM....or buy them...or let them touch your tongue. You've been warned.

I haven't really been in a baking sort of mood, lately. I have all of the ingredients needed to make pumpkin bread or chocolate chip cookies or apple crisp, but I can never seem to get around to baking anything. I always get caught up reading or doing homework or looking at things online. I also started doing the Focus T25 workout, so I need time for that. It's only 25 minutes, which is AWESOME, but it can still take a lot out of you. I was seeing some improvement and results just after the first week. I'm halfway through the second week now. I've been really motivated and dedicated with it so far, so I hope it stays that way. It's hard when you start to dread doing something.

We also got some pictures by the pumpkins, because PUMPKINS. I get this childlike excitement when I see pumpkins, especially for the first time of the season. It just makes it even more apparent that it's the best time of the year again. I can't wait to see what October has in store, leaf-wise and event-wise!

I love this fall post! Pumpkins AND apples! I went up to the apple orchard part of Georgia yesterday but the pick your own apple stuff wasn't open. We bought a bunch though! I feel you with your sentiments about red delicious apples too. I love a crisp, more tart apple! Nothing smooshy. Ew.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, your makeup here looks so festive and pretty. I love the gold eyeshadow on you. This white dress is adorable too. Such a perfect look for a fall outing!

Sarah did a beautiful job with your makeup! A white dress is unexpected for autumn, but I love it - this one looks great on you, and it really pops against the lovely natural setting.

I'm rather amazed on the make-up. Close up it seems so dramatic but it becomes a lot more subtle than I ever thought it could just a ways back (in the photos at least) and the viewer is not even aware that is what is drawing them to your eyes and making them stand out.
ReplyDeleteThe white dress is lovely. Have fun.
beautiful pictures, the make up is stunning! love it <3
ReplyDeleteYour striped dress looks super cute with the stripe on your tights going the opposite direction!
