The first day we went to the citrus orchard to pick fruit for the week. We always pick grapefruits and oranges when we go. There's nothing like fresh fruit, and nothing like fresh citrus from Florida. It is harder to pick than the fruit I pick up here, though. The fruit is pretty high in the tree and you need to use a long spindly picker to get it down. My dad usually does most of the actual picking for this reason.

I didn't have any citrus themed dresses, so I decided on pineapples. Pineapples are a nice summery tropical fruit that are great for Florida weather anyway. We tend to get a pineapple from the grocery store there and they are always really good.
The weather was great all week. We didn't have any rain and it was in the 70s and 80s all week with light breezes. It was only really windy when we were at the beach, but more on that in a later post.

Our first day is usually pretty chill. We just go grocery shopping, picking, and then out to dinner. The week always goes by so fast. It's nice when you first get there and have the whole week ahead of you. I start to feel anxious about it ending around Thursday. I wish I could stay there for two weeks!
Love all of these bright photos!! Florida sounds so wonderful right now!
