Christmastime

I have to admit, this year it hasn't really felt like Christmastime. I wasn't hit with the holiday spirit like I usually am. It could be the late start to the cold weather or how we haven't had much snow (and I'm hoping it stays that way!). Something about this season doesn't feel like Christmas, and it kind of bothers me but there's nothing I can really do. I've been listening to Christmas music and I baked some cookies. I got an awesome Mean Girls-inspired Christmas pin to wear. I did all my Christmas shopping and wrapped all my presents. Still, something just doesn't feel right.

Nevertheless, I'm still all about holiday fashion. Red, metallics, and sparkly things are always fun. I just recently got this dress from ModCloth. They have it in a lot of different colors and it is a very simple and basic dress, but it is so flattering and comfortable. It's perfect for work, parties, holidays, or just everyday. I love pieces that can be so versatile in how you style them. I also love when things come with belts. You know how they say that some dresses would look good on anyone? This is one of those dresses.

I'm not sure what to call my sequined jacket since it's not really a jacket and more like a shrug, but not quite a shrug. Anyway, I got it a couple of years ago from Forever 21 and it definitely comes in handy for the holiday season, or when I feel like being fancy and sparkly.

This shade of red lipstick is the perfect Christmas red. It's from Colourpop, which I have quite a collection of now. I probably have about 30 lipsticks from them, now. They're such great quality with a lot of variety of colors and they're really affordable! The shade is called Trust Me. It's one of their Matte X shades so it's super matte. I can't help but want every single color that Colourpop makes. I love them!
