My mom and I went shopping at the mall and Kohl's. I ended up getting a new dress and skirt from Forever 21 and two shirts from Kohl's (buy one, get one free!). The dress is grey and I was happy because I have been looking for a plain grey dress. You'll see it later in this post!
My mom loves the As Seen On T.V. store, so we went in and came out with the Perfect Brownie tray and this:
I can't wait to use it! I've been wanting one ever since I saw it online. Perhaps I'll bake a giant cupcake and then drink tea out of my giant teacup...
My mom took me out to Olive Garden for lunch, which is my favorite restaurant. I can't get enough of their breadsticks!
Sunday Night:
Anthony and I aren't sports fans, so instead of watching the Superbowl we went to the diner and then to the arcade to play some skee ball.

I love skee ball! It's pretty much the only arcade game I'll play. The only other one I play is Jackpot. It's the one where the light circles around and you have to try and press the button when your Jackpot light is lit. It was conveniently right next to the skee ball machines. Needless to say, I went through my share of the tokens pretty quickly.
Fast forward to today:
I only have one morning class on Tuesdays so after 10:50, I have the day free to myself! Anthony took me out to a late breakfast at Ihop. I had cinnamon bun french toast. It's sooo amazingly good. I was going to take a picture of it, but I was so hungry I completely forgot to!
On our way to Ihop, we passed by a pawn shop. We both realized that we always wanted to go to one, but never had. We stopped on our way back and checked it out. They had a lot of neat stuff! They had a bunch of cameras that I really wanted, but couldn't afford. They also had a couple of trumpets, but alas, they too were too expensive.
Anthony bought a handheld GPS so now we can go geocaching! It's something we have both wanted to do since about two years ago, but you really need a handheld GPS in order to navigate to the cache. It's pretty much a global treasure hunt! They're usually on hiking trails or in public parks. We love to hike so this will just make it even more fun. :) I can't wait to try it out!
From there, we went to Radio Shack to look for the Gorillapod. They didn't have the real one but they had a faux one which was actually cheaper so I got it. I can't wait to try it out and wrap it around tree branches and whatnot. It can fit in my purse! Now I can take outfit shots pretty much anywhere, starting with other places in my backyard.
Our next stop after Radio Shack was Goodwill for some thrifting fun! :D

I was looking for cardigans, but came out with a belt and this:
A typewriter!!! I have become fascinated within the past month or so and now I have one....and it was only $10! Some of the keys don't work, but Anthony and his grandfather are going to try and fix it up for me. :) I can't wait to type silly letters with it and send them to people. I think it's also sweet to use for love letters. It gives them a vintage touch. :)
Here is what I wore today:

Dress: Forever 21
Blazer: Larry Levine (thrifted)
Tights: Simply Vera by Vera Wang
Oxfords: Pineapple from GoJane.com
Scarf: Handed down from my great grandmother
Bag: Handed down from my grandmother
Sunglasses: Forever 21

When I was little, my great grandmother watched me in the summer and after school. I used to like to go through her costume jewelry, gloves, scarves, etc. and put them all on. I loved it all so much that she just gave me most of it. As I got older, I never really touched any of it. But a few weeks ago I was going through my drawers and came across this scarf and decided to use it in an outfit!

The bag was given to me by my grandma. She gave me a bunch of purses a while back. I'm not sure how old it is, but I suppose it may be vintage?

The dress is the one I got Sunday. I really like the fabric and cut of it.

I got these sunglasses last week. I was a little uncertain about them because Forever 21 likes to put those theft detectors right smack in the middle of the sunglasses so that they fall in your face. Because of this, I couldn't really tell what they'd look like on me. Once I got them home and tried them on, I thought they looked a little weird, but they have grown on me over the week. The tint makes everything look like a picture from the 60's or 70's. :)

Tonight I got a call from a very concerned-sounding Anthony. I answered the phone to him saying, "ARE YOU OKAY?!". And me, being consumed by reading things on the Internet, was completely oblivious to things and said, "Uh, yeah...why?". He replied with, "Look out your window!" I looked out the front window. Nothing was there. Anthony said something along the lines of "There is a huge cloud of smoke coming from your neighborhood! I can see it from here!" (He lives about 5 minutes away). I looked out the bedroom in my room which looks out onto the side of the house and towards the woods. Finally, I realized what was going on and yelled, "OH MY GOD! THE WOODS NEAR OUR HOUSE ARE BURNING!!!". I raced down the hallway screaming this and scared my father half to death because he thought I was saying that the house was on fire. I got to call 911 for the first time ever, which was kind of thrilling. The firemen put it out in about an hour. I hope the damage isn't too bad. I'm just glad it didn't spread towards any houses!
There is an impending snowstorm of doom coming our way and I am glad because I will most likely have a snow day tomorrow! :) Hopefully I can get some pictures of the snow!
