I feel like I am in a fashion rut. Does anyone else open their closet and even though there are tons of options in there, you feel like you have nothing to wear? I'm wrapped up in so many things that I can't seem to get inspired or creative or focus on any one thing. These past couple of months have just left me feeling kind of scatter-brained. I'm all over the place and it's crazy! ::flails arms around in a crazy manner::
When it comes down to it, the reasoning behind the scattered feeling is change. Nothing really changed much in my life for the longest time and now all of the sudden a lot has changed and will be changing. It's really thrown me off balance and it makes me want to go hide away for a while at times, but that's not to say that it's a bad thing. Yes it's scary and difficult, but it's for the best.
This outfit is from yesterday. I made slight variations to it after I took pictures though. Since I wore this to school, I had to change shoes so that I could actually walk around campus. I wore my brown oxfords instead. I also didn't wear the hat for fear of it being blown away by the wind tunnel that is my school. Oh, and I added a beige skinny belt.
Shorts: So...
Tights: Apt. 9
Shoes: Payless
Sunglasses: Forever 21
Hat: 100% Paper, labeless
I went thrifting last week and found a super cute yellow jumper dress at Goodwill! I think it's meant to be part of a uniform of some sort. I love it and I'm so glad I decided to go that day because I wasn't sure if I was up for it. I will hopefully have pictures of it up sometime this week. :) For now, I leave you with silly pictures of me dancing. There is a 50/50 chance that either No Doubt or Lady Gaga was in my head while this happened.
you look great in the whole shorts and tights look (and that hat as well). glad you stepped outside of your usual look and went for the shorts! :)

The shorts with the leggings is really a Great look for you! Love how you added the hat:) Super cute
ReplyDeleteSo simple and adorable! And - forgive me if I sound somehow creepy - the tucked in shirt/shorts combo really flatters your figure; definitely that hour glass shape people are always talking about.

ReplyDeleteI really love this outfit! The shorts are adorable! Whenever I feel like I'm in a rut, I leave my closet, walk back a few minutes later and try to think "What would Zooey wear?" or any other fashion idol of mine...trying to channel them really help me see my clothes in a different way :]
