I'm Still Alive!

It's officially been 3 weeks since my last post. That is obscene! I apologize for the horrendous lack of updates, but things are going to get back to normal now because the semester is almost over! This means I will actually get more than 4 hours of sleep per night, which means more energy to rummage through my wardrobe to see what I can put together and do tons of thrifting. This semester has been stressing me out because I feel as though I'm not doing as well as I should be. Too many distractions, both good and bad.

I'm also still in the midst of a fashion slump. :\ I went to the mall today for the first time in over a month (that is long for me!) to find some new pieces that would hopefully spark some sort of inspiration, but I found nothing. Well, I got a new pair of obnoxiously large sunglasses and pretty butterfly hair clips from H&M. Forever 21 was rearranging their store so they didn't have as much stock out as they usually do which was disappointing. :\ Oh well. I will just have to go back next week or the week after!

Hmm...so what have I been doing these past 3 weeks? Chris was home on break from school so we spent a lot of time together before he had to go back to (lame) Boston. :P

Here's some highlights of the past couple of weeks:

-Played with Nerf swords and rode bikes around in Toys R Us

[Shh. Don't tell anyone.]

Later in the week, I surprised Chris by buying us the Nerf swords and we battled on the town green.

-Went exploring

We started at a local beach, then decided to visit our town's animal shelter...

[Chris took this! :)]

The animal shelter was closed, so we decided to explore this field-type area behind some industrial buildings. Picture overload in 3...2...1...

[Taken by Chris! :)]

[I had a tick on me! Eek!]

Taken through Chris's sunglasses (a.k.a. his "special eyes"):

It was fun to explore parts of town that I've never seen before. You never know what kinds of places are hidden right in the same town as you!

-Went to Bamboozle

My friend Jeanna and I went to Bamboozle for the Saturday show. My sole reason for wanting to go was to see The Aquabats. I was super excited! They played a great set which included lobster-men and lots of inflatable beach toys. I had so much fun skanking and dancing around! They're such a fun and upbeat band, as are most ska bands.

After The Aquabats, I was pooped out so I sat on the ground for a while during other bands' sets.

[So many Converse!]

Taylor Momsen was there with her band The Pretty Reckless. Jeanna and I were waiting in line to meet her, but we had to leave and the line was super long, so we didn't get to meet her. Instead, I just ran up and snapped a picture of her really quick while another girl was taking a picture with her. haha.

-Made cupcakes!

I made them for my boss's birthday and while I was shopping for baking supplies, I came across these cake decorating pens that look like markers. They're really fun and easy to draw and write with! I used them to write out "YOU'RE AWESOME" for my boss's cupcakes. I decided that some of the left over ones should be Adventure Time themed.

[Finn the Human and Jake the Dog!]

If you don't watch this show, you should start! It's on Cartoon Network and it's super silly and awesome. :)

I really have to get started on homework now, but tomorrow I will FINALLY have an outfit post with that yellow jumper dress I was talking about in some of my previous posts. :)

The field is so pretty! I love the sunglasses pictures. Also, your hair is adorable in pigtails. I wish I could wear pigtails as cute as you wear them!
