Dots in the Garden

I went on a solo trip to this rose garden the other day. There were lots of different flowers and different colored roses. It was really peaceful, especially since I was the only person there. I'm pretty sure a lot of people have their wedding photos done there.

Lately I've been trying to embrace my natural hair. My natural hair is kinda weird. It's wavy, but kind of curlier in places. It's just strange. Ever since I got my bangs, I've had to shower at night so that they could be dry and ready to straighten in the morning. I'm not an early bird, so there was no way I was going to get up at around 5 in the morning for high school to shower. I'd still rather take my shower at night instead of waking up 1-2 hours earlier to shower and wait for my hair to dry before work. So this whole new natural hair experiment is pretty much only happening on my days off.

As you can tell, my hair is kinda poofy. I'm enjoying the whole tousled and carefree look of it, though. It's definitely easier to manage, especially with all the humidity we've been having lately. I don't have to spend time straightening it for an outdoor party, only to have it end up half frizzy and curly after a matter of a couple of hours. It's also healthier since I'm giving it a break from any type of heat from an iron. I've spent 22 years with this hair, and I suppose it's time to accept it for what it is, in all its foofy glory.

I got this dress a while ago, but never got around to wearing it! I've definitely considered it for various occasions, but always opted for something else because white freaks me out. I'm always afraid I'm going to spill something on it! So I'd always avoid choosing it to wear to a picnic or party where food and drinks would be. It really is such an adorable dress and I love how it's black polka dots on a white background instead of the opposite, so I decided I should finally show it off like it deserves! I paired it with the red shoes for two reason: a. I love any excuse to wear red shoes and b. I just love adding a bit of color to a black and white outfit.

Purple is my favorite color, so I loved the color of both of these flowers. I didn't know what any of the flowers were called, but I thought the bell-shaped ones were particularly interesting, so I Googled it. They're called Foxglove! Such a cute name!
