Universal Studios

Nadia and I have been in Florida for 5 days, now and we've been busy galavanting around! The first day we spent just doing some grocery shopping and taking it easy. But the second day, we decided to go to Universal Studios and visit both of their parks in one day. This is my absolute favorite theme park. I love that I get to "ride the movies" and experience so many of my favorite movies and characters in fun ways.

My favorite part and the one we were most excited for was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We visited some of the shops, such as Zonko's, Honeydukes, and the Owl Post. I like Honeydukes the best because of all the candy and treats! We also rode the ride and got to walk through Hogwarts as we waited.

Of course, we had to get some Butterbeer and pumpkin juice! I like the pumpkin juice more, so that's what I got with my giant turkey leg that I had for lunch. The Butterbeer is pretty good, but I was never really a fan of cream soda and I think that's partly what it's made of.

After we got off the Spiderman ride, we were leaving the gift shop when this guy comes up behind us and says "Excuse me, how ya doin?" as he wedges around us. It turns out it was Spiderman who was apparently running a little late for his meet and greet with fans. We ended up getting a picture with him!

My other favorite part of the park is Jurassic Park. I love the ride, but it was so chilly that day that we really didn't want to go on and get wet. I think my favorite ride has to be The Mummy, though. It's an inside rollercoaster that's in the dark and it goes super fast!

I've been coming to Florida since I was a baby, so I've been to this park many, many times. I miss the Back To The Future ride and the King Kong ride. Back to the Future was replaced with The Simpsons, which I'm not really a fan of.  I got a little sad when the Nickelodeon ride was replaced with Despicable Me. Nickelodeon was always a fun part that came along with going to Universal Studios. After being sad that they even closed the Nicktoons Shop, my joy was restored when I noticed a new store completely dedicated to Spongebob Squarepants. Yes...I am a huge fan of Spongebob and have been ever since the show debuted. I felt like such a little kid in this store!

Everything looked so pretty all lit up once it started to get dark. I especially liked how Mel's Drive-In looked since it's all retro and awesome. The Universal globe looked really cool, as well!

We had a great day, despite it being chilly. We got to see everything we wanted to and had lots of fun on all the rides! :)
