It's Beginning To Feel A Lot Like Winter
I had to take my coat off to take these pictures, and I was freezing. Also, this lighting is super weird. Sometimes it's hard to have a fashion blog in the winter when all you want to do is wear jeans and sweaters every day. Oh the things we bloggers do for the sake of outfit photos.
Every winter I always realize that I could use more sweaters. I've been craving fairisle print lately and I'd really like to have a nice, warm fairisle cardigan or sweater. I've been on the hunt for some warm and comfy leggings too. Printed ones that are festive and fun! I can never justify spending a lot on tights or leggings, though. It never seems worth it to me, but I might have to just suck it up because the majority of them are over $20.
What I miss most about school is the breaks. I remember not being able to wait until winter break when I got a month off with pretty much no obligations except a part-time job. It definitely made it easier to focus on "me" things like blogging and baking and whatnot. Even though it's completely unrealistic, I still wish that winter break existed in the work world...or at least the week of Christmas/New Year's.
I received my Christmas dress from ASOS the other day. After years of searching and having to settle with red, I've finally found a dress with the right shade of deep green. I love wearing red, but I like to change it up every year and now I finally can! It also has three-quarter length sleeves. I hate when holiday dresses have short sleeves. I want to find something sparkly for New Year's Eve, but I also want it to be practical for the weather. Unfortunately, that's usually a difficult combination to come by. Everything's mostly sleeveless! The best holidays to dress for are in the autumn and winter when it's not so practical to wear a dress, tights, and heels without hiding under a sweater, coat, scarf, etc. Sometimes I like to let the dress stand alone without a cardigan, and it's hard to do when it's below freezing outside.
I already found about 20 new cookies that I want to make for Christmas. I think I'm going to have to narrow it down a bit. My mom and I have been making the same cookies for as long as I can remember, so I think it's time for an update to the Christmas cookie repertoire.

This outfit is absolutely adorable. I need to find a good cardigan or sweater in that same color as yours because the one I have is (sadly) dying. The tights are also brilliant. (: When you make those 20 kinds of cookies, don't feel any hesitation about sending 'em my way!

I MISS BREAKS TOO! What the hell, working world?! Why don't I get a month off for holidays?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I totally just wear wool sweaters, berets, and jeans in the winter. So that's why I'm like "what ELSE can I post on my blog." It's a tough business.
