Speaking of Disney...guess where I went on Thursday! :) Yup...I went to Disney World again. I decided to go back to see some of the newer stuff that they added since I last went, but then ended up not even getting to see it because some of the rides had super long wait times. I wanted to see the inside of the Be Our Guest restaurant, but didn't get to. The line for it was out the door, though!
Last time, I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to meet Minnie. I thought she would be with Mickey, but she wasn't. He was flying solo. But this time, I realized that Minnie and the rest of the classic Disney characters have their own separate meet and greet place. So I was able to be reunited with Minnie once more! Of course, she was the inspiration for my outfit that day. :) She noticed my outfit, too! I made sure to photograph my new Minnie ring. I had this outfit planned before my trip, but the ring was definitely a nice addition to it.
Everytime I go to Disney, I have to get a giant turkey leg. I love turkey and the leg is the best part, so naturally a giant-sized one is always the way to go when it's an option. The only places where I have found them available are Disney, Universal Studios, and renaissance faires. They're definitely a rare treat! Of course I have a turkey leg on Thanksgiving, but it's not the same as these.
We explored a little of the new Fantasyland. My mom and I went through the new Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction. Since it was such a long wait and it takes some time to get through, my dad ended up rushing us out to Tomorrowland because he was starving by the time we got out of the attraction!
We watched the parade that they have in the afternoon, and while we were waiting for it to start, we noticed a camera crew on one of the greens near the castle. It turns out that Steve Harvey was there and I guess his son is a Disney reporter of some sort. It was such a random encounter! He came over and talked to a few people that were next to me before he got ushered away by the crew.

After riding a few more rides, such as Space Mountain, we left the park to go to Disney's Spirit of Aloha dinner show at their Polynesian resort. It's a family style all-you-can-eat luau with a show included! The guys and ladies dance the hula, along with other different dances from different regions. There was also a guy who danced and did tricks with fire, which is always interesting to watch...and impressive! He literally eats fire. How awesome is that?!
After the luau, we headed back to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks show. As I said before, I get a little teary-eyed when they play the music while the fireworks go off right above the castle. It's really pretty and awesome and I can't help but get a little nerdy and emotional over it. If you ever go to Disney, you must stay for the fireworks at least once. They're always amazing!
You look so pretty! <3 Disney looks like so much fun, I really want to go sometime.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good trip!

I wish I was in Disney!!! I really enjoyed reading step by step what you did and seeing all the photos, especially since I'm a big Disney fan myself. I am totally IN LOVE with your adorable Minnie outfit! SO CUTE! I also get teary eye EVERY time I watch a Disney movie or when I see the fireworks at the castle. It is all just so magical and emotional for me. Just the intro music for the Disney movies gets me crying. Thats why I watch my Disney movies by myself on Sundays so nobody can see me cry... hahahaha. In fact, my Sunday routine starts with breakfast and a Disney movie every week :)
