Thoughout The Seasons

So far, this dress has been with me for three out of four seasons, and I've worn it for every one! I don't even care that burnt orange is more of an autumn or summer color. I like to wear season-appropriate colors sometimes, but for the most part I don't pay attention and just wear whatever I feel looks good. I do think that this dress will be perfect as a simple outfit in the summer, though. It really is so comfy and well-made. By the way...these shoes are another pair I got from my DSW clearance haul! They're so comfortable that I couldn't not get them. Seriously...I couldn't believe it. Plus...mocassins!

I've been getting pretty antsy to start grad school. I'm a little nervous to get back into student-mode and I've never done an online program, but I'm still excited to begin the next step and chapter in my life. I will finally be taking a major step towards my career! Part of me is terrified that I'm going to find out that library science is not for me, but I've been listening to my gut and my gut has been telling me it will be fine. I mean...I've toyed with the idea of being a librarian since I was in high school. I think I just get a little worried about really huge decisions and commitments. It can be intimidating! You tend to feel like once they're made, it's done. Sometimes it's hard to keep in mind that nothing has to be permanent. Nothing has to be forever if you don't want it to be.

Despite my fears and worries, I do feel really good about going back to school to become a librarian. I've felt all along that it fits perfectly with who I am and it's something that I would love and enjoy doing. I have a passion for and interest in so many things and being a librarian allows me to immerse myself in them all. I can't wait to really delve into it. I was feeling stuck for a while, working the same job that I've had since I was 18 and feeling a little lost about what I wanted to do with my life. But now that I've finally figured it out, I know that it's going to be a refreshing and exciting adventure, and I am definitely more than ready for it.

  5. I love this dress, and I think it is amazing how much use you are getting out of it - I'm always disappointed at the end of each season when I realise I need to put some clothes away for months. Those moccs look so comfy as well. Congratulations on your career decision too, I always wanted to work in a library but there just aren't enough jobs over here to make getting a qualification worth it. I hope you enjoy it xo

  8. Orange it's a color that can look warm in the cold season and fresh in the summer season, that's why it's my favorite color and why I love your dress!

Hope will do fine, no, I'm sure you will do great! And that's so good that you know what you want to do :)

  10. I would be scared going back to school too just because I hate it so. But I'm sure you'll enjoy it and do well - if you want to do it I think that's a major driver. It was hard for me to go back to normal school after each of my co-ops in my undergrad. I love this orange dress, always, kind of makes me wish I had this one instead of the blue. I love how you wear it. IT's perfect in spring, I'm wearing burnt orange today :D

  12. I love the collar of this dress - I think last time you wore it I tried to look for it to buy online immediately. It's just so interesting and looks really soft. I think it is really brave to go back and do something new and I think with the drive you have behind it you'll do really well. Enjoy the adventure!
