The humidity seems to have finally broken and the temperatures have been cooler lately. Yesterday it was only in the 60s! It felt like fall. I was actually cold in my dress and sweater and I considered wearing tights! Tights in July? Whaaaaaat?! New England, you be so crazy.
I'm having a cookout on Sunday with a bunch of friends and I'm really hoping that the weather is ok for it. I tried to have one last summer, but only about 8 people showed up out of the many I invited. I really wanted this year to be amazing, so I planned it way in advance to make sure people could get the day off and not have any prior engagements. And now it's saying there might be thunderstorms. Le sigh. I'm going to punch the weather in its face if it rains on my cookout!

Things just got real for a minute there. Anyway...this is a happy dress, and I assure you that I'm not miserable or hate people. I just have my phases and problems and moods sometimes like everyone else. I think the weather affects a lot, too. It keeps raining and being overcast and muggy and that's no fun. I want clear skies, good air, and a bright sun. I know I'll eventually get out of my funk. Here's to hoping August brings some better weather!
I love love love that dress! I have one quite similar... made for twirling!

I love your dress. I've been feeling similarly antisocial. Sometime I feel like I just have to put so much effort into speaking to people and it just tires me out.

Sara, you are looking STUNNING in this dress!!! I love Hell Bunny dresses so very much, and this one looks like it was made for you. Perfect location, too. The weather has been crazy, right?! I wanted to wear tights the other day. Seems like it's actually been summery for only like, three weeks total. I hope the weather holds up for your cookout, though. And I tooootally feel you on the not-wanting-to-be-social thing. It's not just you. I'm totally overwhelmed lately and all I want to do is be alone and work on things and veg out.

I always wanted to have this Hell Bunny dress I adore it! You are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! I've been tempted to buy it myself in the past. It is just so flattering and sexy in every way. All these photos are lovely, it looks so peaceful out there.
ReplyDeleteIt's fine to not want to be with people for a while. Your friends will understand and we all need time to understand ourselves. Hope you are feeling in a good place with yourself. :)
You are queen in the blogosphere if it goes about dresses <3

That dress is absolutely divine. You are the prettiest little sailor girl! The full skirt is delightful, and it looks perfect with the red lipstick. I have a new hair goal now: for it to look exactly like yours. Seriously, it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's perfectly normal to want time to yourself. I've never been a social butterfly, and I turned out okay, so don't worry if you're just going through a little phase. I mean hey, you're having a cookout on Sunday! That's very social.
May the Force be with you.

This dress is simply stunning and perfect for you. It really flatters your figure and the colour matches your hair so well!
ReplyDeleteI'm like that sometimes, too, and am the happiest when I can just be with my boyfriend in the evenings. It's totally normal and healthy, I think!
