Studio Gear Cosmetics Holiday Smokey Eye Palette - Discount Included!

I love holiday and festive looks, especially for the Christmas season. Sequins, deep greens, bright reds, golds and silvers. Everything always looks so bright and pretty this time of year. And as much as I hate the snow, I still have to admit it's pretty to look at when it first falls.

I love all things holiday-themed, so I was excited when I received this Holiday Smokey Eye Palette from Studio Gear Cosmetics. It has such a beautiful assortment of eye shadows in classic holiday colors. Because it contains neutral colors such as silver, gold, and coal, the palette is very versatile and can be used for all kinds of different looks. Plus, the palette also includes a pretty pink blush fittingly called "Snowy Glow". So festive!

The palette comes with helpful and easy instructions for how to do a basic smoky eye using all the shadows. One of the steps allows you to choose a softer look or a more dramatic look. I opted for the softer look as I felt it was more fitting for the outfit and the general holiday spirit. Light, soft, and bright.

The colors come out so pretty when applied, and the sparkles in the shadow didn't get all over my face like other eye shadows do. My favorite detail of this look is the Frost shadow applied to the bottom lash line. It makes the whole look come together and look so much more brighter and cheerful. The blush is also soft and the perfect pink - not too harsh or bright, but more natural, warm and welcoming. All of the colors in the palette work so well together! That's why I really enjoy palettes. You can't go wrong with them because they were made to have all the colors compliment each other!

I asked Sarah to do my makeup so that it would look the best that it could. She did an awesome job and we are both happy with the end result. We were racing the clock for this particular shoot and thought we might end up missing the sunlight, but we actually caught it at the perfect time! I decided to wear my new gold sequined jacket. I got it to wear with my Christmas dress, but I didn't really like how they looked together in the end. I'll have to figure something else out! I really like how navy and gold look together, and I think it's a great color combination for the holidays. It's a little something different than the usual reds and greens.
