Nadia and her boyfriend Jon came over to finally see my apartment and we spent some time at the nearby beach since it was really nice out and explored the park. It was super windy, but the breeze felt great. Afterwards we went back to my apartment so that I could change because we were originally going to go for a walk, but then we ended up driving. I was able to get in a round two of outfit photos, but that's another post...haha. I suppose it was pretty efficient.

I never realized how Ms. Frizzle-esque this dress is until a co-worker of mine mentioned it. I was never really a Magic School Bus fan. I probably only watched/read whatever they showed in elementary school, which wasn't a lot. I looked her up, and although this dress is more intricate and realistic with its design, it would definitely work for a Ms. Frizzle costume. You'd just need the hair!

I liked the sort of clash between my dress and the location. They're pretty opposite - ocean vs. outer space. It always amazes me that we are capable of traveling to places outside of our own planet, but we still aren't completely sure what's at the very bottom of our oceans. That's so crazy to me.

Love your wild hair, and this dress.

I can definitely see this being a Ms. Frizzle dress but it looks even cuter styled on you! I love galaxy prints so much and this dress is super flattering on you. Very very cute!

Love your dress! It does remind me a little of Miss Frizzle, but that is a big compliment, I used to love seeing her wonderful outfits on each episode when I was young. I too find it incredible that we have explored more of our own solar system than the depths of the ocean. Quite incredible and baffling at the same time. I hope you enjoy this coming Autumn!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel! I have been wanting to post Autumn outfits for forever, but it's hard to do when it's triple digit heat lol! Alex

Ah I love that dress! Also those shoes, you always have the best shoes. You know Ive never thought of it like that but you're right theres so much of the ocean we haven't explored. Im so glad you're liking your classes cause as a perpetual student I totally get how that can totally set the mood for months of you life til the semester ends. Im totally in fall mode but I actually have a few backlogged things I need to post but I need to get on my fall posts before its irrelevant.

ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad you're sharing this adventure and outfit with us, even if you're impatient for the others ;)
ReplyDeleteThis print seems like a departure from your usual style but the dress shape keeps it cohesively Swing the Day Away style :D
I may need this dress. I love how you wore it with red shoes & lipstick! I have a love for the Magic School Bus, but I think this is more like what Ms. Frizzle's young, hip associate would wear :)
