Atlantic City

A few weekends ago, I had a mini vacation in the form of a weekend getaway to Atlantic City. There was 4 of us that went, which was nice because you can fit 4 in a hotel room no problem and it makes the room cheaper for everyone. It's also just easier to plan a trip when you don't have a big group of people.

I had never been to Atlantic City, but have been wanting to go for a couple of years now. You all know how I feel about beachy towns and seaside things. Of course Atlantic City has been on my to-do list.

We stayed in a hotel that was only a block away from the boardwalk, so it wasn't super expensive, but it wasn't too far from everything. We stuck to the boardwalk, beach, and casinos the whole weekend and that was definitely plenty to do.

We went to a bunch of the casinos including the Tropicana, Bally's, and Caesars. I liked the Tropicana the best. They had a nightclub that was 70s and 80s themed, which was pretty fun. They had a light-up disco floor and a disco ball. There was also a man dressed up with a disco ball as a head at one point. Chris and I tried to get into the other dance club that plays current music, but we got kicked out of line because their dress code required no shorts. I was very annoyed.

There was this bar/club right on the beach that was really cool. They had hammocks and beds and a dance floor. I swear, this place was a 24/7 non-stop party. I don't think there was a time that we were there that this place wasn't open. In actuality, they probably closed at 4 AM. A lot of places advertised that they were open until then.

We stayed over the Saturday night, so we spent the day on Sunday enjoying the beach, eating breakfast at a diner on the boardwalk, and just going into shops and whatnot. It was nice to get away, but it's always sad when you have to go home and go back to reality!
