Life's No Fun Without A Good Scare

The second day in Salem was more relaxed than the first. We didn't really do much other than walk around and go into more shops. We had lunch at this great place called Scratch Kitchen. I had an amazing grilled cheese with onion-bacon jam on it. It was so good. The great thing about the place is that a lot of their ingredients are local and everything is actually made from scratch when you order it. They had really good fries, too!

We didn't take too many pictures this day, either, but we took some near the stick houses. When you're in Salem just wandering around, you realize that the downtown area isn't that huge. You can cover it all in a day. It's the special events and attractions that may take a couple of days or so, but we weren't really too interested in the museums and haunted attractions. I would love to stay in Salem for a few days, but it would be to attend some Halloween events and parties that I haven't been to yet. Plus they do have some cool shops that are fun to visit, including a vintage clothing shop!

This bat dress is from a company called CowCow. They have a lot of different patterns and their prices are really cheap, so I thought I'd give them a try. They had a lot of Halloween patterns. I decided on this orange and black dress with the bats on it. I also ordered a dress with a moon and star print on it. When I ordered it, I ordered it in black. When it arrived, it was navy which kinda just ruined the whole thing for me. I wanted black, otherwise it looks a little hokey. When I contacted them, they basically told me that they never had it in black and that I could send it back if I want. It was pretty lame. I guess what bothers me the most is that we went back and forth about the color and I sent them pictures to prove it and then they told me that they never had this pattern in black. If it didn't come in black, why did they need proof that it wasn't black in the first place? And why did the listing literally have Black in the title? Eventually they sent me a refund and I didn't even have to send the dress back, so that was nice of them.

Dress: CowCow//Sweater: //Tights: Simply Vera by Vera Wang//Shoes: Lifestride//Belt: Forever 21
As for the actual dress, it was comfortable and what I expected. The only thing that bothered me is that the fabric is so thin that in places where there's more, uh....bulge (my bust), the pattern gets weird and kinda discolored from the pattern stretching. Needless to say, I might think twice before ordering from them again.

I am already nostalgic for fall. I want it back! I feel like it came and went so fast. I still have tons of photos from the fall, so I will keep it alive that way. It hasn't been too cold here, which is a welcome surprise. I'm hoping it stays this way at least until New Year's!
